THE WEDDING
Location: Madawaska, Calabogie
The Wedding will be held in the late afternoon to allow you to make the most of your time in Calabogie. Although the event is out in the country, we are dressing formal for our special day. We want you to be comfortable and to have fun. As a guideline, we expect that most men will choose to wear a suit or sports jacket and that women will be in cocktail attire but please dress as you wish! |

Pre-Wedding Cocktails

Come and enjoy a drink out on the deck before the ceremony. The church is a 2 minute drive from Bluff Point. Shuttle vehicles will also be available to take you from the Bluff Point to St. Andrews United Church located on Front St. directly across the bay from our cottage – Shuttles will run on a loop from 2:00-2:45pm.
Childcare:
For those with children please bring a labeled overnight bag packed with your child’s p.j.’s and toothbrush etc...Please provide any special instructions in an easy to identify and read note outside the bag. There will be in excess of 20 children of different ages so It is imperative that you provide clearly written instructions if your child requires any special care. The children will be brought back to 140 Bluff Point for a movie and a sleep over after the children’s dinner has been served.

Wedding Ceremony, dinner

The ceremony will take place at St. Andrews United church followed by drinks and dinner at The Duck . Shuttle vehicles will also be available to take you from the St. Andrews to the Duck. The cocktails & canapés will be outdoors on the dockside lawn overlooking the lake at The Duck. While we expect the weather to be warm even hot you the restaurant is air-conditioned. The children’s dinner will commence before the adults.
KIDS NIGHT OUT MOVIE KICKS OFF at
8pm
You are welcome to bring your kids with you to the ceremony and the dinner. The children’s meal will commence before the adults, complete with a special desert. Then we have arranged to transport the under 20 group to a movie night (except for babes in arms of coarse). We have our very capable childcare providers to supervise. For those of you traveling with a nanny. Let me know and they will eat with the children. Shuttle vehicles will transport them either by land or sea to Bluff Point from The Duck Restaurant. You can pick up your kids on your way home from the wedding! We are going to have four kids in the wedding party, so please don’t feel like you have to leave the kids at home the entire evening.

Join us for a fun filled day outdoor play day & BBQ. Stationed at 140 Bluff Point. Lots of activities for all age groups. Waterfront: boating, swimming, tube rides. Trampoline, basketball, child activity drop off. Backwoods: All-terrain vehicle tours, mountain biking, the list goes on… or just relax and enjoy nature . This will be a very laid back afternoon and you are welcome to bring your kids.
We all want to get Calabogie, and I really think everyone will but trust me the feeling isn’t complete without helping out our fellow man. The 1st annual Calabogie cookout will be supporting the Calabogie boys & girls club.
Food & drinks will be served throughout the day. There is no charge for any food or drink and absolutely no tipping the service staff.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bring money.
“ Feel Good Fund”
Near Or Beside Each Food & Drink Station Will Be A “Feel Good Fund Jar” Where You Will Have The Opportunity To Hand Out Some Happiness. All Proceeds Collected From The “Feel Good Fund Jars” Will Be Turned Over To The Calabogie Boys & Girls Club.

Several Neighbouring Docks Along Side Bluff Point Retreat Will Serve Up A Variety Of Water Activities. To The Far Right Dock : A Giant Water Trampoline Including A Massive Inflated Log To Test Your Balance And Joisting Skills. To Near Right Dock : Designated Water Skiing & Tubing Stations
Main Dock @Bluff Point Retreat Is Designated For Swimming And Leisure.
2 Life Guards Will Be On Duty Throughout The Day At The Main Swimming Areas.
Bring A Personal Flotation Device If You Have One And Any Other Floaties, Rafts Boats Etc.. You Care To Bring.
